KEY LARGO VACATION
After skipping last year, we managed to get together again. We welcomed Jake Porter to his first Keys reunion and Dylan got to go tubing with his cousins. Great sunsets, company, eats and drinks. Tough to beat.

SANCHEZ WEDDING
On August 3, my lovely sister-in-law married Carlos Sanchez on the shores of Florida Bay, in Key Largo, at sunset. It was a simple but beautiful wedding. It’s nice to see that sparkle back in your eyes. I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.

KEY LARGO VACATION
This now annual, in theory, event brings together Duke, his children and their families for a week of unwinding and reconnecting. Next time we’ll have a new member of the family and Challen will be able to drink.

FISHING TRIP
In November, we again, did a fishing trip with Duke’s neighbor, Mike, a long time fishing charter boat captain. We did a little better than the time before. The weather was a little chilly, but beautiful and the company was great.

KEY LARGO VACATION
We were able to get together this summer. Last year we lost the rental home at the last minute and had to cancel. This reunion was the first for Dylan Porter. Our house was on the bay which meant no heaveanly sea breezes, but we had beautiful sunsets.

In October, Lyn and Steve invited some of the family to get together in Cape Cod for a week. We had an opportunity to spend some quality time together traveling around the cape, eating, drinking and meeting new members of the family.

KEYS VACATION
This summer, Duke was able to bring together his four children, their spouses and significant others, and the grandchildren. The sea breeze was heavenly, the water inviting and refreshing. It was good to spend time together.

In November, we did a fishing trip with Duke’s neighbor, Mike, a long time fishing charter boat captain. We did not catch much that day, but it was a beautiful morning and we got to see the city and the port from the water illuminated by the rising sun.

PORTER WEDDING
We gathered at St. Petersburg Beach for a casual, tropical, short sleeves and sandals type wedding on a cold, windy, but thankfully sunny day in early March, to witness and take part in Challen and John’s wedding. Welcome to the family Challen!!
PEAKS REUNION
In August, the Porters had a mini family reunion on Peaks Island, Maine. We rented two homes within walking distance and took turns hosting the dinners and partying. Peaks Island is beautiful. See scenic pictures in the Travel North America section.

PORTER ENGAGEMENT
John Porter asked Challen Mullen to be his wife during a scalloping weekend at the end of July 2009. Challen’s friends threw a party at The Garden to celebrate their engagement. John and Alex played music in celebration of the occasion.
